Vienna's Vereinigte Bühnen Wien (VBW) has announced it will present the world premiere of the musical CASANOVA, from Frank Wildhorn and Don Black.

Tony nominated composer Frank Wildhorn is known for Broadway's JEKYLL & HYDE, BONNIE AND CLYDE (which nabbed a Tony nod for Best Original Score in 2012), WONDERLAND, DRACULA, THE MUSICAL, THE CIVIL WAR and THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL.

Lyricist Don Black previously collaborated with Wildhorn on BONNIE AND CLYDE and DRACULA. Among his other credits are BOMBAY DREAMS, DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES, SUNSET BOULEVARD (which won him a Tony Award in 1995), ASPECTS OF LOVE, MERLIN and more.

CASANOVA will center on the life of the charismatic and influential Giacomo Casanova. A seducing, gambling swindler of the 18th century, his autobiography "Story of My Life" detailed his often stranger-than-fiction life, including his travels across Europe to mingle with the royalty and luminaries of the period.

The show will debut in 2017 in Vienna. For more information, click here.
