When most people encounter pain, they look to traditional medicine to heal it; however, it does not always hold the solution. Physical therapist Cathy Covell found that the key to true healing is not only in combining the physical and emotional, but also addressing the mind, body and spirit.

Covell suffered from chronic pain for years, but traditional medicine did not have the solution she was seeking. When she started searching outside this realm, she discovered a manual technique called myofascial release that first introduced her to the concept of healing the mind, body and spirit. Covell then became an expert in myofascial release and combined that knowledge with other aspects of healing that she explains in her book, "Feeling Your Way Through."

According to Covell, it is a "starter" book for people interested in various aspects of healing. The techniques she shares in her book will help people become empowered in their healing journey. Her goal is to help others break free from their limitation and enjoy a more fulfilling life.

"It is the only self-help or healing book that combines the aspect of addressing the tissue and cellular memory in order to help with healing," she said. "Most books focus on changing your thinking, but if the cellular and tissue memory isn't addressed, then full healing and enlightenment may be limited."

"Feeling Your Way Through " gives readers advice on how to tap into their inner guidance system, their feelings, to help them reconnect to their true selves. This not only leads to empowerment, but also to becoming more enlightened. Covell believes that people already posses the qualities of the person they are striving to become and that they just need help clearing the physical, emotional and mental restrictions that limit them. By trying the techniques Covell shares in "Feeling Your Way Through" and finding the ones that work for them, people will be able to progress toward a healthier and more fulfilling life.

"Healing is about freedom. Freeing yourself physically, emotionally and spiritually. This freedom is enlightenment," Covell said.
