Lori Bookstein Fine Art has announced that Elena Sisto has been awarded the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation Fellowship 2013.

The John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation has awarded Fellowships to a diverse group of 175 scholars, artists, and scientists in its eighty-ninth annual competition for the United States and Canada. Appointed on the basis of prior achievement and exceptional promise, the successful candidates were chosen from a group of almost 3,000 applicants.

The gallery is also pleased to announce the forthcoming exhibition Between Silver Light and Orange Shadow: Paintings by Elena Sisto, which will be on view from April 25 - May 25, 2013.

This exhibition will serve as the final venue for the traveling museum exhibition Between Silver Light and Orange Shadow: Paintings by Elena Sisto, which originated at the Museum of Art + Design at Miami Dade College, Miami and traveled to the University Gallery at the University of Florida, Gainesville. A comprehensive full-color catalog with essays by Stephen Westfall and Amy Vigilante is available.
