'Downton Abbey's Sophie McShera Signs on for CINDERELLA Film

Variety reports that Sophie McShera, has joined the cast of Disney's live adaptation of CINDERELLA. The British actress is best known for her role as Daisy Mason on PBS' "Downton Abbey."

McShera takes on the part of the sinister stepsister Noemi. She will reunite with her 'Downton' co-star Lily James, who will play the title role in Kenneth Branagh's film. Other previously announced cast members include Holliday Granger as the other evil stepsister, Cate Blanchett as Lady Tremaine and Richard Madden as Prince Charming.

The film, produced by Allison Shearmur, David Barron and Simon Kinbergare, is set to hit theaters on March 13, 2015.

McShera will soon be seen in the highly anticipated fourth season of "Downton Abbey", premiering on the UK's ITV this August.
