Derek Keeling who will be taking over the lead as Danny Zuko in the hit Broadway musical GREASE will sing the National Anthem at the 8th Annual New York City Triathlon on Sunday, July 20th at 5:40 a.m. at the Barge 99th Street at the Hudson River.

Derek who is following in the footsteps of such Broadway notables as Eden Espinosa and Orfeh in singing the anthem, will be performing in front of 5,500 registered tri-athletes. 10,000 spectators are anticipated.

The Nautica New York City Triathlon is the New York City Triathlon is a highly anticipated event that brings together professional athletes, celebrities and triathlon enthusiasts from around the country to test their stamina and strength. The triathlon consists of a 1500-meter swim, 40-kilometer bike, 10-kilometer run.

Derek Keeling is taking the reins as Danny Zuko on Tuesday, July 22nd at 7 p.m. at the Brooks Atkinson theater
