Total Faith in Cosmic Love, a new play by Maxim magazine editor and Whitehouse.org writer John DeVore, will be presented at the Brick Theater in Williamsburg, Brooklyn on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8 PM, from March 2nd through April 1st. The show will open on March 9th.

Directed by R.J. Tolan, artistic director of Ensemble Theatre Studio's Youngblood program, the show "is a dark romantic comedy for those with plenty of The Cure on their Ipod, and a secret drawer full of shredded love letters. Torn between falling in and out of love, Ashley waits for a bus to carry her away from yet another heartbreak and learns that Happily Ever After is a matter of timing." The play will feature Kate Sandberg; the other lead role has yet to be cast.

"John DeVore is an editor for noted literary journal Maxim Magazine, and a lead writer for the right-wing fetish site, Whitehouse.org," state press notes. His most recent plays include The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year and Tupperware Orgy. This past summer he produced Dear Dubya: Love Letters to Whitehouse.org at The Brick, and has written for The New York Times, The New York Sun, Time Out NY, Comedy Central, and The Black Table. He has previously collaborated with Tolan on JFK Vs. The UFOs and Nuts & Bolts.

The Brick Theater is located at 575 Metropolitan Ave., in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (? a block from the Lorimer stop of the L train). All tickets are $10. They can be reserved by calling 718-907-3457. Visit www.bricktheater.com for more information.
