Theater for the New City (Crystal Field, Executive Director) will present Lesser America's World Premiere of Brian Watkins' (My Daughter Keeps Our Hammer with The Flea) family drama Wyoming, January 15-31 at Theater for the New City (155 1st Avenue between 9th and 10th Street). The production will be directed by Danya Taymor (I Hate f-ing Mexicans at The Flea). The cast will include Daniel Abeles* (Where We're Born at Rattlestick), Carter Hudson* (Substance of Fire at Second Stage), Layla Khoshnoudi (My Daughter Keeps Our Hammer at The Flea), Roger Lirtsman* (The Tenant with Woodshed Collective), Nate Miller* (Love and Information at New York Theatre Workshop), Laura Ramadei (Carnival Kids with Lesser America), and Sarah Sokolovic* (Detroit with Playwrights Horizons). The creative team will include Costume Design by Beth Goldenberg, Props Design by Jessica Jalal, Set Design by Edward T. The Tuttle family's past is not to be discussed. But when their estranged and silent brother is spotted at a hometown diner twenty years after a confounding childhood crime, buried memories and unspoken bounties hatch one boozy, plotting Thanksgiving. At the edge of Wyoming's wilderness, the family herd must stick together or teeter towards the way of the buffalo.

WYOMING, presented by Lesser America in residence at Theater for the New City (155 1st Avenue between 9th and 10th Street) will play a three-week engagement January 15-31; Wednesday through Sunday at 8pm with an additional performance on Monday, January 19 at 8pm. BRIAN WATKINS (Playwright) is a Brooklyn-based playwright whose plays include My Daughter Keeps Our Hammer (2014 World Premiere at The Flea; NY Times and Time Out NY Critics' Pick), Wyoming, General Store (2012 Seven Devils Playwrights Conference), Games for an Empty Cul-De-Sac, The Rebel and His Leg, Study That House, A Scavenge, and High Plains (2013 UK premiere with Underbelly, Edinburgh). His plays have been produced or developed with Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, Williamstown Theatre Festival, LAByrinth Theatre, The Flea Theater, Lesser America, INTAR, Horse Trade Theater Group, Seven Devils Playwrights Conference, b. swibel presents, id Theatre, Edinburgh Fringe, Wide Eyed Productions, Wildclaw and Route 66 in Chicago, among others. Brian is a member of the Dramatists Guild.

DANYA TAYMOR (Director) is a director and translator. She has been a Resident Director at The Flea Theater since 2011 where past work includes My Daughter Keeps Our Hammer by Brian Watkins (World Premiere, NY Times and Time Out Critics Pick) and I Hate f-ing Mexicans (U.S. premiere/co-translator), Romeo and Juliet and The Honest Whore. She has directed and developed work at Play Company, INTAR, Stella Adler/NYU, Ensemble Studio Theater, and Columbia University/Signature Theater. She is a Time Warner Directing Fellow at Women's Project, an Artist-in-Residence at Theatre for a New Audience and a New Georges Affiliated Artist. Other awards/fellowships include: Van Lier Directing Fellowship; Gates Foundation Grant, SPACE on Ryder Farm, and Lincoln Center Directors Lab.
