In a recent interview with USA Today, Broadway favorite Neil Patrick Harris hinted that a sequel to his webseries Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog could be in the works. Harris told USA Today: "I know Joss (Whedon) is excited about it, Nathan (Fillion) would love to do one, Felicia (Day) as well. And I would certainly be on board. I just have this sneaking feeling in my gut that they would make a Dr. Horrible feature film and then cast Andrew Garfield as Dr. Horrible."

Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog is a 2008 musical tragicomedy miniseries in three acts, produced exclusively for Internet distribution. Filmed and set in Los Angeles, the show tells the story of Dr. Horrible (Neil Patrick Harris), an aspiring super villain; Captain Hammer (Nathan Fillion), his nemesis; and Penny (Felicia Day), their mutual love interest.

Writer/director Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly, Serenity, Dollhouse), his brothers Zack Whedon (a television writer) and Jed Whedon (a composer), and actress Maurissa Tancharoen, wrote the musical during the 2008 WGA writers' strike.
