In the two seconds it took Moris Senegor to say "yes" in the elevator of the Chicago hospital-yes, he would go to San Francisco-his life irrevocably changed. "DOGMEAT" is Senegor's highly engrossing account of his life as a promising young neurosurgeon who moves to the beautiful city of San Francisco for six short months in 1986.

"DOGMEAT" follows the author's days as a young and cocky neurosurgery resident who arrives at the University of California, San Francisco, for an adventure both exhilarating and disheartening, and one destined to change his future. "Dogmeat" was the moniker he was given as apprentice to a famous-and famously intimidating-neurosurgeon. Moris gives a disarmingly honest account of his Dogmeat days in the wards and operating rooms of UCSF. He also vividly recounts how he fell in love with San Francisco and a woman he found there. His story is for both surgeons and anyone ever beguiled by San Francisco, a book that captures the essence of youthful ambition and love.
