DISTORTED DIZNEE to Celebrate 3rd Anniversary Next Month

The Laurie Beechman Theater continues its reign as The Happiest Place on Earth as Dallas DuBois presents DISTORTED DIZNEE. This cult hit featuring drag stars Holly Dae, Bootsie LeFaris, Pixie Aventura and Brenda Dharling celebrates its 3-year anniversary on March 20, 2015.

DISTORTED DIZNEE is an outrageous Las Vegas-style parody revue featuring some of America's most beloved animated classics. Come be Part of Our World as a troupe of fabulous drag queens takes you on a twisted -- and very adult -- journey, catapulting you back to your childhood into a Magical Kingdom where dreams come true. This ever-evolving 75-minute non-stop extravaganza features high-energy dance numbers, pop culture sound bites, physical comedy, dazzling costumes and lip-syncing "ladies"-- with a bit of Cher, Patti LuPone, Idina Menzel and Rihanna thrown in for good measure.

The DISTORTED drag show series began in March 2012 with the premiere of DISTORTED DIZNEE. After gaining a cult following, it spawned the holiday-themed DISTORTED KRISTMESS, as well as the Great White Way parody DISTORTED BROADWAY, the Silver Screen-themed DISTORTED HOLLYWOOD and the annua Gay Pride extravaganza DISTORTED PRIDE in June. The series was created by Dallas DuBois, a trained musical theater actor whose credits have included film, television and Off-Broadway productions. Dallas was selected as Next Magazine's Who's Next 2010, a Glammy Award nominee, Miss Grove Hotel, and Miss Fire Island's Most Popular 2009.

DISTORTED DIZNEE runs alternating Fridays at 10pm (March 6, 20, April 3, 17, May 1 & 29, with DISTORTED PRIDE taking over in June) with an added show on Tuesday, March 17 at 7pm.
