Due to Hurricane Sandy, DEAD ACCOUNTS, the new Broadway comedy, will now begin previews on Monday, November 5 at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street). The delay of one performance will not impact the previously announced opening of Thursday, November 29.

For those patrons inconvenienced by the canceled performance, the producers of DEAD ACCOUNTS and Graeter’s Ice Cream are pleased to offer ticketholders for that performance a coupon for a free pint of Graeter’s redeemable at any New York D’Agostino’s supermarket. To claim the coupon for the free pint, patrons should present their Saturday, November 3 ticket (or e-ticket receipt) at the Music Box Theatre Box Office starting Thursday, November 1 after 2PM. Coupons can be claimed anytime until November 30 or while supplies last.

In order to reschedule tickets for the canceled performance, ticket holders should return to their original point of sale.

Starring two-time Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz and Katie Holmes, DEAD ACCOUNTS, the new comedy by Pulitzer Prize finalist Theresa Rebeck, directed by three-time Tony Award winner Jack O’Brien, also stars, Judy Greer, Josh Hamilton, and two-time Tony Award nominee Jayne Houdyshell.

In DEAD ACCOUNTS, Jack’s (Butz) unexpected return throws his family into a frenzy, and his sister Lorna (Holmes) needs answers. Is he coming home or running away? Where is his wife (Greer) everyone hates? And how did he get all that money? Theresa Rebeck’s new comedy tackles the timely issues of corporate greed, small town values, and whether or not your family will always welcome you back…with no questions asked.

The creative team for the production features five-time Tony nominee David Rockwell (scenic design), five-time Tony winner Catherine Zuber (costume design), David Weiner (lighting design), and Mark Bennett (sound design, original music).

DEAD ACCOUNTS is produced by Jeffrey Finn, John N. Hart Jr., David Mirvish, Amy Nauiokas, Ergo Entertainment, Harriet Newman Leve, Double Gemini Productions, 3toGo Entertainment, and The Shubert Organization.
