The sold-out Pump Up The Volume concert takes place at Joe's Pub tonight, June 25, 2012 at 9:30pm. Recently added to the performer lineup are Harris Doran (The Actors' Fund's Hair), Claybourne Elder (Bonnie & Clyde), Gideon Glick (Spring Awakening), and Caren Lyn Tackett (Hair). Film star Samantha Mathis, who appeared in the movie version of Pump Up The Volume, will also make a special appearance at the concert.

They join the previously announced Sasha Allen (Hair, Camp), Andrew C. Call (American Idiot, Glory Days), Jenna Leigh Green (Wicked, "Sabrina the Teenage Witch"), Constantine Maroulis (Rock of Ages, "American Idol"), Leslie Odom, Jr. ("Smash," Leap of Faith), Nancy Opel (Memphis, Urinetown), Bryce Ryness (Hair), and Lucas Steele (Myths and Hymns). The ensemble will feature Stephanie Kababe, Travis Morin, Zal Owen and Jessica Waxman.

Pump Up The Volume is a new rock musical based on the 1990 film starring Christian Slater about a pirate radio shock jock who shakes up a small town. It features music by Jeff Thomson and book and lyrics by Jeremy Desmon. Dave Solomon will direct, with a four-piece rock band led by music director Aaron Jodoin. The concert is being produced by Katie Riegel (jokr productions).

Kleban Prize-winning bookwriter/lyricist Desmon (The Girl in the Frame, I See London, I See France) and Larson Award-winning composer Thomson (Trails, Jawbreaker) have developed the arena rock tuner at Michigan State University, The Human Race Theatre and Goodspeed Musicals.
