Theatre Talk congratulates all of the 2011 TONY Nominees, including 14 of this year's Theater Talk guests: David Lindsay-Abaire, Stephen Adly Guirgis, Jez Butterworth, Bobby Cannavale, Colman Domingo, John Kander, Robert Lopez, Trey Parker, Mark Rylance, Marc Shaiman & Scott Wittman, Matt Stone, Susan Stroman, and Alex Timbers.

On May 12, Tony nominees, actor Bobby Cannavale and playwright Stephen Adly Guirgis, join the brilliant Chris Rock to discuss Guirgis' hit play The Motherf**ker with the Hat, about a struggling addict's conflicted relationship with his AA sponsor.

On May 19, Tony nominees, playwright Jez Butterworth and actor Mark Rylance, discuss Jerusalem, Butterworth's new play in which Rylance plays one of the most outrageous characters ever to cross a Broadway stage, philosopher/drug-dealer/and virtual guidance counselor, Johnny "Rooster" Byron, who lives in a trailer in a forest of Wiltshire in England.

The brilliant Arthur Laurents died last Thursday at age 93. In tribute to the writer/director who co-created West Side Story, Gypsy and La Cage Aux Folles, on May 26 Theatre Talk is repeating one our favorite Theater Talk interviews with him. Taped in 2001, shortly after Laurents had written his memoir, Original Story By, this conversation (along with virtually every conversation we had with him) will remind viewers why Laurents will be revered as a great genius of the theater for years to come.

Theater Talk, the series devoted to the world of the stage, is co-hosted by Michael Riedel, Broadway columnist for the New York Post, and series executive producer Susan Haskins.

The popular series is now being distributed nationally to PBS member stations by Executive Program Services (EPS). The series is co-produced by Theater Talk Productions, a not-for-profit corporation, and CUNY TV (City University of New York Television).
