Tonight, October 28 at 6:30pm: Celebrating María Irene Fornés with Morgan Jenness. Please join them for an evening of excerpted readings of work by legendary Cuban-American, avant-garde playwright and director María Irene Fornés.

The evening, co-curated by Lou Moreno and INTAR Theater, will feature selections from Fefu and Her Friends (dir. Nancy Rodriguez), What of the Night (dir. Lou Moreno), and Mud (dir. Melisa Crespo), as well as an excerpt from Michelle Memran's documentary-in-process, The Rest I Make Up, which explores Ms. Fornés' visionary teaching methods and creative process.

The evening will conclude with a panel discussion with guests Morgan Jenness, Lou Moreno,Michelle Memran, Frank Hentschker, and others.

It will take place at the Martin E. Segal Theatre Center, The Graduate Center, CUNY, 365 Fifth Ave at 34th St.. Free! First come, first served.

Also be sure to join us for Changing Brooklyn: The Impact of BAM to hear from Harvey Lichtenstein, the long-time Executive Director of BAM who transformed it into the cultural center it is today. Monday, November 4th at 6:30pm. As always, this event is free and open to the public!
