Planet Connections Theatre Festivity, New York's premier socially conscious theatre festival, is proud to announce Catherine Filloux'sMisunderstanding will be headlining this season's staged reading series. Catherine Filloux is an award winning playwright who focuses on the subject of human rights and social justice. She has been featured in American Theater Magazine, The LA Times, DNAinfo and on NPR's All Things Considered. She teaches playwriting at Vassar College and in a co-founder of the non-profit Theatre Without Borders. Her piece Selma '65, which premiered recently at La Mama, was also named by American Theater Magazine as one of it's 14 Theatrical Plans to Change the World. The reading series focuses on new works of all genres that deal with social issues and social justice. The series is curated by David Stallings, award winning Playwright and Artistic Director of Manhattan Theater Works.

Planet Connections Theatre Festivity is New York's premier socially conscious theatre festival. It runs June 15-July 12 at the Paradise Factory, 64 E 4th St in Manhattan.
