Burning Coal Theatre Company will present KidsWrite! an evening of new plays by young people for audiences of all ages this weekend, May 15th at 7:30pm, May 16th at 7:30 pm, and May 17th at 2:00pm at the Murphey School Auditorium at 224 Polk St. Raleigh, NC. All tickets are $10. For information, call 919.834.4001. Tickets are available at the door for each performance.

Burning Coal's KidsWrite! production encourages the young writers of North Carolina. The 2015 production will mark the 7th annual festival of new plays, written by students from 6th grade to 12th grade. Submissions are encouraged throughout Wake County and fourteen surrounding counties. KidsWrite 2015 will be directed by Amy White, the new Assistant Professor of Musical Theatre and Theatre at William Peace University in Raleigh. The KidsWrite! 2015 Festival of New Plays will include: The Edge of the Bridge by Elin Waring (Broughton High School), A Bundle of Bandits by Sammy Rivas (Ravenscroft Middle School), One Lost, Another Late, A Third Surely to Come by Joseph Campisi (Research Triangle High), and With You by Elena Podleski (Research Triangle High School).

Our cast this year includes Christine Schatzle, Edward Freeman, Johnna Chance, Noelle Azarelo, Joseph Reese, Rayshaun Sandlin, Sarah Stimpson, and Ralph Jones. Elizabeth Newton of Raleigh will design scenery and properties. Mia Carson of Raleigh is the lighting designer.
