Bill Medley is a seminal figure in the history of American music. Best known as half of the unmistakable duo, The Righteous Brothers, he will be appearing at the Gallo Center for the Arts at 8 pm on Friday, February 28.

Tickets for the performance are $19 to $69, and may be purchased online at www.galloarts.org, by calling (209) 338-2100, or from the Gallo Center ticket office at 1000 I Street in downtown Modesto.

The raw emotional rhythm and blues sound of Medley and partner Bobby Hatfield essentially created the genre "blue-eyed soul." In the mid-1960s, they became a fixture on Top Forty radio with hits like "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin," "Just Once in My Life," "Unchained Melody," and "(You're My) Soul and Inspiration," creating an ultra-dramatic take on Sixties pop romance.

The Righteous Brothers were inducted in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March 2003. But just months later, Hatfield unexpectedly passed away, bringing to an end a partnership of four decades. After a period of mourning, Medley made the decision to continue touring as a solo artist.
