Bernadette Peters to Host Q&A with Lonny Price After MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG Documentary Screening

Two-time Tony winner Bernadette Peters, a Broadway legend and one of Sondheim's most iconic leading ladies, will host a Q&A with director Lonny Price at one of the first public screenings of his new documentary, Best Worst Thing That Ever Could Have Happened - a thrilling, behind-the-scenes look into the 'then' and 'now' of perhaps Stephen Sondheim's most beloved work, Merrily We Roll Along.

Ms. Peters will host this Q&A directly following the 7:30PM screening of the film on Friday, November 18 at IFC Center (323 6th Avenue). Only ticket holders to the film will be admitted for the Q&A. Tickets can be purchased by clicking here.

Bernadette Peters' association with Merrily composer Stephen Sondheim includes her Tony nominated performance as the original 'Dot' in Sunday in the Park with George and the original 'Witch' in Into the Woods, plus her unforgettable Tony nominated turn as 'Rose' in the 2003 revival of Gypsy. She won Tony Awards for her performances in Annie Get Your Gun and Song and Dance plus a special Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award in 2012. Her illustrious career also includes her Golden Globe winning turn in Pennies from Heaven, and Emmy nominated guest spot on "Ally McBeal", the classic Carl Reiner film The Jerk, and countless other films and TV including the original Annie film, NBC's "Smash", ABC's "Ugly Betty", and currently a series regular on the acclaimed Amazon series "Mozart in the Jungle".

Best Worst Thing... is being distributed theatrically by Abramorama, the industry's preeminent distributor of independent cinema, beginning on Friday, November 18 in New York City at Film Society of Lincoln Center's Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center (144 W. 65th Street) as well as the IFC Center (323 6th Avenue); followed by Friday, November 25 in Los Angeles at Laemmle's Royal Theatre (1523 Santa Monica Blvd.). Additional cities will follow. The film had its celebrated world premiere at the New York Film Festival on Sunday, October 9, 2016.
