Barn Players Present LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, 11/07-23

Next on stage at The Barn Players is "La Cage Aux Folles" - the play is the winner of six Tony Awards and was also turned into the popular movie "The Birdcage". The show will play November 7th through November 23rd with performances Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 and Sunday matinees at 2:00 and is the Barn Players final 2014 regular season production.

"La Cage Aux Folles" is a boisterous story about George, the suave owner of a popular glitzy drag nightclub on the French Riviera, who is partnered with a performer. The pair lives a charmed life until George's son turns up engaged to the daughter of a narrow-minded local politician. The hilarity hits a high note when the bride-to-be's parents want to meet their future son-in-law's parents and the ensuing meeting is sparked with glitter and tied with a bow.

The show features great music including "I Am What I Am", "Song On The Send', and "The Best of Times". It's a wild, hilarious farce about nonconformity filled with gorgeous costuming, fabulous dance numbers and is an indisputable classic musical comedy. Rated "PG"

"La Cage Aux Folles" will be directed by Kipp Simmons with musical direction by Martha Risser and choreography by Rob Reeder ... the show stars Katie Bartow, Gregg Butell, Graham Fairleigh, Dudley Hogue, Eric Magnus, Adam McAdoo and Joy Richardson --- and features Samantha Agron, Erica Baruth, Valerie Dykes, John Edmonds, Caelin Golladay, Paul Morel and Ray Zarr --- with Blane Brungardt, Korey Childs, Brad Clay, Josh Krueger, Max Mammele, Rob Reeder, Mitch Simmons, Bradley Turner, Derick White and Keel Williams.
