Astoria Performing Arts Center's Annual Gala Set for 3/14

Astoria Performing Arts Center (APAC) will host its annual Gala at the Museum of the Moving Image, 36-01 35th Avenue, Astoria NY, on Thursday, March 14, 2013. For their extraordinary service to the community and their support of the arts, APAC will be honoring Assembly Member Aravella Simotas and Donna Finn, Principal of the Frank Sinatra School for the Performing Arts. The evening will include a cocktail reception catered by The Astor Room, an opportunity to explore the museum, and a special performance directed by APAC Artistic Director Tom Wojtunik. Tickets are currently on sale at apacny.org. APAC's next show, the musical Blood Brothers, with book, music, and lyrics by Willy Russell, directed by Tom Wojtunik will open at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church on May 2, 2013.

The Museum of the Moving Image is a fantastic venue, the perfect place to celebrate our year with our friends?including elected officials, the artists who we have worked with, local business owners, and sponsors of our work. The funds raised by the event will go towards supporting our current season, including our upcoming production of Blood Brothers and our community programs for children and senior citizens."
