According to Freedomtomarry.org, newly-wed actress, Anne Hathaway (Les Misérables) will donate proceeds from the sale of photos from her wedding to Adam Shulman to nonprofit organizations that campaign for the equality of marraige for same-sex unions. She and Adam married privately in September in Big Sur, California, and now she will split the money from the picture sales, not only with St. Jude Research Hospital and American Cancer Society, but with non-profits like Freedom To Marry.

Anne Hathaway is no stranger to giving to the LGBT community. Her brother is homosexual and she feels it is her duty to be an ally of the community as a whole. She and her husband are members of the National Host Committee for Freedom To Marry's National Engagement party which recently raised more than half of a million dollars for the Win More States Fund, targeted to win more votes in states like Maine and Washington. She was also honored with the Human Rights Campaign's Ally Award in 2008.

Hathaway will next appear on the big screen alongside Hugh Jackman in Tom Hooper's adaptation of the musical, Les Misérables, set for release this Christmas. Her stage credits include Children And Art on Broadway, Carnival! and Twelfth Night off-Broadway, and a regional UK production of The Woman in White.

Her other film credits include her most recent role as Selina Kyle in The Dark Knight Rises, as well as The Princess Diaries, Havoc, Brokeback Mountain, The Devil Wears Prada, Becoming Jane, Rachel Getting Married, Valentine's Day, Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, Love and Other Drugs and more.
