Annaleigh Ashford, Phoebe Strole & More Set for BOOGIE IN THE BUTT Concert Tonight

Leading Broadway actors, including Annaleigh Ashford, Phoebe Strole, Lauren Pritchard and Chuck Mead, will perform in the Third Annual "James Moye's Boogie in the Butt Benefit" concert tonight at 7pm at Stage 72. All proceeds from the event will benefit The Foundation for Nutrition and Inflammatory Bowel Diseases in Children (NIBD).

James Moye (Million Dollar Quartet, Dogfight, Far From Heaven) will headline the benefit with a stellar cast of Broadways actors, all in support of NIBD Kids.

"NIBD is a remarkable organization that continues to provide vital education and support for children affected by chronic intestinal diseases," Moye said. "These diseases are widespread, unpredictable and difficult to contain. We need to raise money for research, in order to detect the actual causes and someday find a cure."

Performing alongside Moye in the 75-minute show will be Tony nominee Annaleigh Ashford (Kinky Boots), Phoebe Strole (Spring Awakening, Glee), Lauren Pritchard (Spring Awakening), Grammy nominee Chuck Mead, Dan Mills (Million Dollar Quartet), Kimberly Moye, Corey Kaiser (Million Dollar Quartet), Eugene Gwozdz and Jesse Humphry.

"It's wonderful to have so many members of the Broadway community participating in this benefit and joining us in this battle," Moye said. "It's that type of character and commitment that allow us to be active agents of social change."

Stage 72, formerly the Triad Theater, is located at 158 West 72nd Street. Tickets are available at the door or online at brownpapertickets.com.

The benefit will include a raffle with prizes such as tickets to Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark, Fuerza Bruta, and Blue Man Group.

A $30 donation is requested, plus a two-drink minimum. All proceeds will go directly to NIBD's life-changing nutritional research for Inflammatory Bowel Disease among juveniles.

"We're happy to be back at the Stage 72," Moye said. "We've had so much fun doing this benefit for the last two years, and we intend to treat our supporters to a truly memorable theatre experience."

Moye and his Broadway colleagues have raised funds for Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis research and education over the last two years.

Moye's Broadway appearances include Million Dollar Quartet, The Fully Monty, A Tale of Two Cities, Ragtime, Urinetown, and at Lincoln Center Theater in the world premiere of Happiness. His Off-Broadway appearances include Far From Heaven, Dogfight, Happiness, Closer Than Ever, Silence! The Musical, and Pipe Dream. He has toured nationally with White Christmas (Bob Wallace at the Ordway), The Drowsy Chaperone (Aldopho), and Little Shop of Horrors (Orin). Regionally, he originated the title character in the world premiere of Meet John Doe at Ford's Theatre. Moye received the Best Supporting Actor in a Musical award from the San Francisco Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle for his role as Russell Kingsley in Tinyard Hill. He was nominated for a Helen Hayes Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of File 110 In The Shade at Signature Theater. He is a Council member of Actor's Equity Association, and he is a member of the Screen Actor's Guild and American Federation. He was featured in the 2010 thriller film Fair Game, starring Sean Penn and Naomi Watts, on CIA agent Valerie Plame's memoir, "Fair Game: My Life as a Spy, My Betrayal by the White House." Moye earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from James Madison University.
