Amy Ruffo Exhibit Opens 3/7 at Ware Center

The Ware Center Art Series is pleased to introduce the drawings of Amy Ruffo in a special exhibition titled "Amy Ruffo: Terrain." Hailing from the Midwest, Ruffo's pen and ink and pencil drawings point out her reverence for the Great Plains and the essence of an expansive horizon. Each line Ruffo draws is a carefully considered mark, each finished piece composed of infinite details and patterns that produce a terrain of texture and depth. As critic, Jacob Stockinger stated in a review "Ruffo draws like a force field."

Ms. Ruffo received her BFA at the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore and completed her Master of Fine Art at the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. She has a decade of experience in nonprofit arts management and recently moved to Lancaster from the Midwest. Her work has been presented in venues throughout the Midwest including the James Watrous Gallery, Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, and INVOA at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.

"Terrain" opens First Friday, March 7th. Ms. Russo will be on hand from 6 - 8 PM that evening. Music for First Friday will be provided by the Vulcans in the Lobby. The show continues to run through March 30 and is open during regular business hours at the Ware Center: Mon-Fri, from 8:30 AM to 4 PM and during performances scheduled there. The Ware Center is located at 42 North Prince Street, Lancaster, PA. This exhibition is open to the public and is FREE. Drawings are available for purchase.
