A.R.T./New York Internship Fair Opens 3/21

A.R.T./New York (Alliance of Resident Theatres/ New York) has joined forces with The American Theatre Wing and the Michael Tuch Foundation to present the eighth annual A.R.T./New York Internship Fair on Saturday, March 21 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. The fair is open to undergraduate students, graduate students and recent graduates of all majors seeking theatre internships for the summer and fall of 2009. Representatives from more than 50 New York theatres, including The New Group, New York Stage and Film, Signature Theatre Company and Roundabout Theatre Company will be present to meet with potential interns and discuss careers in the theatre. The fair will be held at The Westin Hotel in New York (270 W 43rd St. at 8th Ave).

Virginia P. Louloudes, Executive Director of A.R.T./New York comments, "A.R.T./New York's Annual Internship Fair is thrilling not only for our member companies but also for the hundreds of future theatre professionals who attend in hopes of landing the internship that will start their careers. Indeed, a number of students have gone on to become full time employees of the companies they met through the fair. The American Theatre Wing's Theatre Intern Group (TIG) will be present at the fair so that once attendees have found an internship, they can join TIG. TIG offers social and professional development opportunities for current theater industry interns, allowing them to hear from people working in all facets of the business and build networking contacts with professionals and peers across the community.
