Raymond J. Lee, rising Broadway actor, co-star of Broadway's Anything Goes and director of YouTube video  "You Don't Know You're Beautiful" featuring the cast of Anything Goes, will host Making Books Sing's June 25th Education Celebration. Lee is a proud graduate of Northwestern University and has appeared in national and regional theater across the country.

Making Books Sing, the NYC-based theater company and arts-in-education non-profit that promotes children's literacy and social development to family and school audiences.

The annual Education Celebration honors the effective programming by the Making Books Sing education staff including the roster of teaching artists and artist educators. This year the Education staff wanted to celebrate with song at Midtown's Pulse Karaoke Lounge & Suites.

The free, two-hour event will include: cocktails, karaoke, speeches by Lee and Education Director Brooke Boertzel "thanking" the team of over 30 musical theatre and theatre arts professionals that provide programming to thousands of children every year and live raffle drawing featuring prizes from: 40/40 Club, U.S. Open, DubSpot, Wolffer Estate Vineyard, Nice Work If You Can Get It, Peter & The Starcatcher and other fun-filled prizes. Last year's Celebration took place at Brooklyn Brewery hosted by hip hop artist/activist Talib Kweli and Emmy award-winning TV host Cat Greenleaf.
