92Y Hosts THE BEST MAN Conversation With John Larroquette, James Earl Jones and More, 4/30
On April 30, critic Caryn James will lead a conversation regarding why Gore Vidal's THE BEST MAN is more relevant than ever in this election year at 92Y. Set to appear are several of the show's stars: James Earl Jones, John Larroquette, Michael McKean, Jefferson Mays and director Michael Wilson.
The strictly limited 18 week engagement opened April 1 and also features Candice Bergen, Emmy Eric McCormack, Kerry Butler and Angela Lansbury. THE BEST MAN cast is completed by Curtis Billings, Corey Brill, Tony Carlin, Donna Hanover, Sherman Howard, Olja Hrustic, Bill Kux, James Lecesne, Dakin Matthews, Angelica Page, Fred Parker, Jr. and Amy Tribbey.
A play about power, ambition, political secrets, ruthlessness and the race for the presidency, Gore Vidal's THE BEST MAN is set at the national convention where two candidates are vying for their party's nomination during the primary season. It's an inside look at the dirt-digging, double-dealing, triple-crossing chicanery of presidential electioneering.
The talk will take place at 8pm, and tickets start at $29. To purchase tickets, or for more information, visit http://www.92y.org/.
