The Cold War, The AIDS Crisis, random acts of violence, Satanism, nausea, sunstroke, caged animals, and The Wonderful World of Disney - These are the makings of childhood. Renowned storyteller Brad Lawrence makes comedy out of the shared national tragedy that was the Reagan era in this one man show about trying to make sense of the world when the only thing you know for sure is that you're no good at being a kid - which, so far, is your only job.

Brad Lawrence (Writer/Performer) was the first storyteller to win back-to back Moth GrandSLAMS and is regularly feature on the Moth MainSTAGE. His writing was most recently featured in McSweeney's. He is both a member and featured storyteller with the BTK Band and a regular at such shows as The Liar Show, Adam Wade's Super Stories, The Risk Podcast and How I Learned. In addition, his previous shows, "Monsters in The Wood" and "The Gospel of Sherilyn Fenn" have been presented around the country to critical acclaim. He performs burlesque as Handsome Brad and is the regular co-host of Hotsy Totsy Burlesque at The Slipper Room. He has co-produced and performed in storytelling and variety shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, South By Southwest Interactive, and in conjunction with WBUR, USA Network, Grant's Whiskey and Casper Mattress. You can find him on twitter at Bradlaw77 or at his website, hblawrence.com.

Cyndi Freeman (Director) is a two-time FringeNYC award winning solo performer. Her solo shows have also been presented in Boston, Amsterdam, Ireland, the UK and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Festival. Her newest solo show, I Was a Sixth Grade Bigfoot, debuted this past year at the Frigid Festival in NYC. As a storyteller her credits include: The Moth, The Liar Show, Adam Wade's Super Stories, Seth Lind's Told, Risk, and Story Collider. Other credits include The Colbert Report on Comedy Central, Campus Comedy on HBO, and Compromising Situations on Showtime. She also performs burlesque in NYC as Cherry Pitz.
