With the extension of "Godspell" for 3 additional performances through February 7 and all the other events going on in February, No Strings Theatre Company will need a few more house managers.

The house manager comes to the Black Box Theatre an hour before the scheduled performance, helps with setting up refreshments, ticket selling, and cleanup on the night of the performance. the house manager sees the show that night as well as receives a complimentary ticket for another performance of their choice.

The current exhibit at thetheatregallery at the Black Box Theatre is "Free Range Art" by Meredith Loring. Her art is an eclectic combination of many different media, materials, and techniques. Using primarily recycled fabric, yarns, and leather, along with found objects and decorative items from thrift stores, she employs many methods, including applique, fabric restructuring, and free-hand machine embroidery to coax her materials into the desired form. She has exhibited her works at several local venues, including thetheatregallery at the Black Box Theatre, the Branigan Cultural Center, the Terrace Gallery at Branigan Library, UnSettled Gallery, and the Cottonwood Gallery at the Southwest Environmental Center. Her awards include Best in Show at the Las Cruces Arts Association membership show, The World Around Us, and Best of Theme for the City of Artists show, "The Ancient Ones." She is an active member of the Las Cruces Arts Association. There will be a wine and cheese reception in conjunction with the Downtown Ramble on Friday, February 5 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. The theatregallery is open one hour before performances and by appointment by calling the theatre at (575) 523-1223.
