It’s the 6th Century BCE: Sappho’s back and she’s single. “If a tree falls in a forest and no one hears it, does it make a sound? If two lesbians f*ck and no one records it, did it happen? Sorry, let me rephrase that: if two women fall in love but none of the men write about it, did it happen?” Structured around Sappho's fragments, ‘Schrödinger's Lesbians’ is a joyful, irreverent new play about love, lesbians, and coping with a history that's written you out of it. Authored by Libby Boyd, this is Themis Theatre’s second play following their debut show, The Dissent (**** The Stage), and takes a deepdive into the highs and lows of queer female friendships while asking that eternal question: ‘can you ever just be friends with someone you’re into?’ Schrödinger's Lesbians has been programmed by Omnibus Theatre as part of the 96 Festival.
