Chicago is one of them shows that i've always wanted to see, but never wanted to spend money on seeing. I feel i should see it because it's Chicago etc etc...i think next time im up in town ill just go to tkts and do a cheap 2day show day...

i deffinitely won't be going to see the tour. Jimmy Osmond...perlease that man lacks any sort of charm, charisma or good looks...he should not be playing Billy Flynn!

I have seen Chicago on tour and in London and it was awful in London compared to the tour. The show was great but the theatre was awful.
If it is on tour near you in a nice theatre see the tour instead, it will be a similar price to half price in London anyway.

Kieth...i think you'll find if you read back over the thread i never mentioned that he was bad at the part or i didn't like his interpretation. I simply stated i do not like him as a performer and fell he lacks certain character traits that people associate with the role of Billy Flynn. He may come out on stage a surprise a lot of people but i will not be one of those people.

I could understand your point if i had said "Jimmy is an awful Billy...his singing and dancing is atrocious and he can't act for shizzle" but i didn't.

It is my personal opinion that he is innapropriate for the role, and i am choosing not to spend my money on going to see this production, this opinion does not affect you but i appologise if i've caused offence by speaking my opinion.

Saw this last night in Sunderland and have to say, the two lead girls stole the show. They had so much energy and put so much into their performances. Particularly enjoyed the final dance re: Chicago uk tour..

Now onto the bad. Jimmy Osmond was simple APALLING. One of the worst interpretations of a character I have seen, his voice was, quite simple, NAFF and didn't suit the role at all, and his acting was so stiff it was like watching a plank of wood walk about the stage. Let the whole show down in my opinion. Disgrace.

I'm glad Jimmy has lived up to my expectations. Glad you enjoyed most of the show Mark. I take it set/costume is the same as the london production?

The dancing was SPECTACULAR. And I loved the band being on stage (as did my dad, he loved the show too). It was 2 and a half since I saw it last time in Sunderland so saw alot of things in a different way. Surely appreciated the dancing alot more.

Have never actually seen it in London before, will probably see it in London when I move down no doubt re: Chicago uk tour
