What show should I see?#1
Posted: 6/11/07 at 12:24pm
I will be in London on Saturday, June 16 and Sunday, June 17. Any ideas on what show I should see while I'm there? I'd love to see either a musical or play that is not in New York, as I live in New York. Any suggestions please?

We Will Rock You (If you are a Queen fan)
Blood Brothers (Fab show)
Sound of Music (If you can get ticks at short notice)
Little shop of Horrors (Have heard nothing but praise about this production, especially to do with the cast)
Billy Elliot (Have hear it is good)
Lord of the Rings (Unlikely to go to Broadway so might be one of the only chances you have to see it)

Billy Elliot is brilliant, one of my favourites, but it will be going to New York next year, and unless you're willing to get poor seats at the matinee, because the evening performance isn't going to happen at such short notice.
The rain we knew is a thing of the past -
deep-delving, dark, deliberate you would say
browsing on spire and bogland; but today
our sky-blue slates are steaming in the sun,
our yachts tinkling and dancing in the bay
like racehorses. We contemplate at last
shining windows, a future forbidden to no one.

Most shows now in London are Broadway transfers, so...

But here it is:
Billy Elliot
Lord Of The Rings
