I know it has not been there that long. I am coming back so I can see them in London. What is the buzz, how are the audiences? Does Cameron have a winner? It is a brilliant piece. I hope it is there with this cast for a while.

Yeh according to the Hair London facebook page, they arrived on Sunday, then they've got this week for rehearsals in the theatre, then they start previews next week..

I've been very slow at buying tickets (Sorry, Cameron) but I hope to secure front row tickets very soon. I already saw the show twice in NY, last time in long wig, flowery shirt and beads (and I made it onto the stage first - woo hoo! - something I intend doing in London also).

thanks all and hotjohn...i did the same. pretty much. my first show in NY was front row, second...and almost better was Orchestra G on the aisle. Gavin was sitting in front of me with Caissey. front row was great, but i did get a better row 7 or so rows back.

i am trying to suss out the Gielgud and so far the tickets i may want don't seem to be available. if i want same sort of seats it would seem to be stalls. two sites have different sort of maps of the theatre.

regardless, please keep an update on how it is going and if any of you see it.

i will look on the facebook and twitter pages.

My friend works for Cameron and, apparently, the sales for this are a bit better than the advance for Ave Q when it first came over. He said they know its going to be a word of mouth show!

Im sure it will do well- the reviews will be great!

I just checked the Delfont Mackintosh website for tickets and their seating chart does now show two more rows (both labeled "A") in front of row B.

Hey!
Basically they underestimated the theatre seating plan room.
Initially row B was front row, however the realised they need more room on the ends of the row so they have removed seats on row B and put these infront of row B to create a row A
There may be more alterations depending how the cast adapt

If you contact delfront makintosh, they may be able to help you. I've had luck with them before! Excellent service, worth a try!!

honestly, it is more about how the theatre is. i paid big bucks for front row (which i did not mind) and yet, i saw more and got a better seat 6 or 7 rows back on the aisle for half of that. as you say, due to the production and cast participation with the audience you want to be front. mind you in NY front row was very very close. i found i saw more of the show sitting back a little. i think anywhere in the front several rows in the orchestra or even on the aisles are great for this. i don't know about balcony seats. the "be-in" seats are fab too. trust me. i am still trying to find out more about Gielgud seating before i book. like i said two sites have differing seating charts. the diagrams are different.

The seating at the Gielgud is gonna be very different to how it was for Avenue Q so i've heard.

Are they ALL contacted until then? I had heard that some cast members (eg: Will Swensen) would be leaving after a 2-3 months?

I am not really sure... I have just heard from several people that Will is leaving 2 months into the run and returning to Broadway.I am not sure if that has changed and I am not sure how much truth there is to him returning to Broadway. My guess is that most of the cast (except for Will) will be there until Oct. 2nd.

Will is here for 10 weeks- that is confirmed. It seems like everyone else (at the moment) is here through 2 October.

Re marquee- they were working on it this past Monday when I walked by the Gielgud.

So nice to have the hippies here :)
