It's gone kind of quiet on here, which is kind of usual for a Sunday, thought I start just a fun thread on has anyone been to all of London's theatres?

I certainly haven't, got a little bit to do yet, my missing theatres are; Aldwych, Apollo, Barbican, Criterion, Domnar Warehouse, Duke of York, Coliseum, Lyric, Ambassadors, Old Vic, St Martin's, Globe, Trafalgar 1/2, Vaudeville, Any of the National Theatres, Menier.

Need ti get a few more stamps in my book.

I'm missing quite a few, actually. In the West End I've never been to the Fortune, Phoenix or St. Martin's and I'm pretty sure I've never been to the Ambassadors or the Criterion. And I can't actually remember ever going to Trafalgar 1, but I'm sure I have.

I've also never been to the Globe, but I'm going this summer.

I've still got ALOT to visit, BUT, for a 17 year old college student living 2 hours from london, I aint done bad in my 3 years of going to london!

Hang on, let me grab my little wee book (The London Theatre Guide by Richard Andrews)...

I have never been to: Aldwych, Ambassadors, Dominion, Lyceum, Phoenix, or the Prince of Wales.

Not bad, actually! The one I'm mostly likely to go to is the Lyceum ('cos sooner or later these people who keep talking about heading off to see The Lion King will get their acts together and I'll go with 'em). I hope to be able to pay a visit to the Aldwych soon (read: I hope the Aldwych is fortunate enough to lose the horror that is Dirty Dancing soon).

I seem to have spent most of my life in London at the National, but I've still been to the Theatre Royal Bath most. The National will have overtaken by next spring at the absolute latest, I reckon. After that, it's the Novello and Shakespeare's Globe neck-and-neck, but the Globe is going to be shooting WAY ahead once the season kicks off again. :3

OK here is a memorable show I saw at each venue I can recall:
Adelphi- (nope nothing current) Me & My Girl- bliss!
Aldwych- The Black Prince (Ian McDairmid)
Ambassadors- Les Liaisons Dangereuses (RSC)
Apollo- Jerusalem (my only current choice I think)
Apollo Vic- Moving Out (Great show, terrible marketing)
Arts- Closer to Heaven (Pet Shop Boys)
Cambridge- The Rink (calm yourself, Mama)
Coliseum- either Pacific Overtures or Miller's The Mikado
Comedy- A Walk in the Woods (Alec Guiness!!!)
Criterion- No Sex Please... (longest running comedy)
Dominion- ooh, Grand Hotel or Time???
Duchess- The Herbal Bed (RSC)
Duke of York's- By Jeeves (it was fun)
Fortune- love WiW but Re-Joyce was a HOT ticket!
Garrick- An Inspector Calls
Geilgud- (Globe as was) Lettuce & Lovage (Maggie Smith)
Her Majesty's- oh ok Phantom opening I suppose
Lyceum- JCS (re-opening this theatre was a big thrill)
Lyric- Five Guys Named Moe
National Olivier- Mother Courage (recent!)
National Lyttelton- Sunday in the Park with George (had to dredge my mind!)
National Cottesloe- Sweeney Todd (La MacKenzie!)
New London- Cats (hate me)
Noel Coward (Albery) Kiki Dee in Blood Brothers
Novello (Strand)- Cabaret (Wayne Sleep and Kelly what's her name who was magnificent)
Palace- On Your Toes
Palladium- Hans Christian Anderson (my first)
Peacock (Royalty)- Once on This Island
Piccadilly- Which Witch (just for lols)
Phoenix- Into the Woods (no question)
Playhouse- Girlfriends (Howard Goodall)
Prince Edward- Hunting of the Snark
Prince of Wales- City of Angels (or Fosse?)
Queens- Wonderful Town (Maureen Lipman)
Savoy- She Loves Me (I love it!)
Shaftesbury- Follies (shut up!)
St Martin's- Mousecrap (oh god- it was the....)
Theatre Royal Drury Lane- Dame Edna (never been a favourite venue)
Theatre Royal Haymarket- Waiting for Godot (Mackellen at his peak)
Trafalgar (Whitehall)- Voyeurz (never forgotten!)
Vaudeville- Henceforward (Mackellen again)
Victoria Palace- Billy E or Barnum
Wyndhams- Three Tall Women (Albee at his best)

I guess I've been around!

I never went to the Astoria. Can I count the Mayfair and the Westminster? How about the Mermaid?

Ooh, okay! Memorable (or in some cases only) shows for each theatre visited! :3 Bear in mind I've only been going since 2006. Please hold not my theatre-going youth against me... Also, sorry if any theatres are missing.

Adelphi- Evita.
Apollo- Jerusalem!
Apollo Vic- Wicked (only option).
Arts- A Man of No Importance (only option).
Barbican - Black Watch!
Cambridge- Chicago (only option).
Coliseum- On the Town.
Comedy- hmmm... memorable, or best? The former, Too Close to the Sun. The latter, Prick Up Your Ears.
Criterion- The 39 Steps (only option).
Donmar Warehouse- Othello.
Duchess- Underneath the Lintel.
Duke of York's- Arcadia!
Fortune- The Woman in Black (only and best option!)!
Garrick- Zorro (I seriously LOVED this show and miss it at least twice a week)!
Gielgud- Macbeth (yay Rupert Goold!).
Her Majesty's- Phantom (only option).
Lyric- Cabaret (only option, although I seem unable to keep away from the Lyric Hammersmith, if that counts for anything!).
(Lyric Hammersmith- Angels in America!)
National Olivier- War Horse!
National Lyttelton- Caroline, or Change.
National Cottesloe- The Observer.
New London- ... War Horse. XD Or King Lear, if you'd rather.
Noel Coward- Avenue Q (only option, although I saw Enron at the Royal Court; I'd still pick Q though).
Novello- Hamlet!
Old Vic- Inherit the Wind.
Palace- Priscilla (only option).
Palladium- Follies in Concert (that's not cheating, right?).
Piccadilly- Guys and Dolls (only option).
Phoenix- n/a (although I've seen the various tours of Blood Brothers about a million times, which is probably why I've never felt the need to visit the Phoenix).
Playhouse- La Cage aux Folles (only and best option)!
Prince Edward- Mary Poppins (only option).
Queens- Les Miserables (only option).
Savoy- Porgy and Bess.
Shaftesbury- Hairspray (only option).
Shakespeare's Globe- Troilus and Cressida (I loved this one WAY too much :3)!
St Martin's- The Mousetrap (only option UNTIL THE END OF THE WORLD, apparently).
Theatre Royal Drury Lane- The Lord of the Rings (only option).
Theatre Royal Haymarket- Waiting for Godot (second time round).
Trafalgar Studio 1- Elling.
Trafalgar Studio 2- Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?.
Vaudeville- Swimming with Sharks (only option).
Victoria Palace- Billy Elliot (only option).
Wyndhams- Sunday in the Park with George.
Young Vic- King Lear (Rupert Goold again :3).

Sooo... some theatres I've only been to once or twice apiece (particularly but not limited to theatres with long-runners). Other theatres I've been to about a zillion times. If I was only allowed to go to the theatre on one side of the river, it'd have to be the south. I'd miss the Donmar Warehouse, I'd miss the musicals, but if I didn't have the National and the Globe, I'd go mental. And there's always the Vics and the Chocolate Factory for a spot of variety.
