Possibly the most disturbing picture ever.

(again, I'm bad with pun titles..)

Poor Webber... i'm glad they're not finding a Dorothy through tv auditions though. There'd be thousands of teenage girls with awful voices trying to emulate Judy and failing miserably... not what i call saturday night tele. I reckon they should have done Sunset for a Norma and had more mature women audition. Would have been interesting to see that one play out.

Funnily enough I was listening to Sunset this morning and thinking the exact same thing!!

I know reality is a double edged sword, but if it means we can get a big scale revival of it then Im happy to have a reality TV show to help sell it!

I wonder if what's really behind it is the availability of the Palladium for the revival?

Wishful thinking Mama. Even with the stinkiest reviews in the world- and even comparisons to Too Close to the Sun- Phantom 2 has a locked in audience that will carry it through at least 2 years. I'm not saying that's a good thing, but there is a sucker born every minute.

Webber's in a mess up.

Wizard of Oz may not even happen... again, he announces something before even confirmed.

Phantom: Love Never Dies is taking more and more time because he is being typical and throwing his toys ouf the pram with not liking anything causing endless delays, fustration and set backs. Last I hear, the April opening is not off and its more like June...

As for Wizard of Oz... well...

He built up 'A Star Is Born' to overload and then let it go like a lead balloon.

I'm a bit sad, because a tv show like this would brighten up my Saturday evenings at home (sorry), but by the same token, I think it is good that there isn't a presumption that ALW will discover a new bright young (or old) thing every year to go into a show. Even though those shows will sell well and get bums on seats from bums that don't make it to the WE very often, I think it is better that tv casting only happens when it is going to really work, and without the politics.

I like that these shows are a different way for talent to become recognised, but with so many finalists being cast in recent years, I think it's time for a breather to let people do it the old fashioned way too. Connie and Lee have left their original shows, but haven't established themselves in anything new yet, with Connie even going back to do the touring version. I think the contestants from the previous shows would benefit from a breather in the tv show system too.

Having said that, I do like the idea of finding an older lady or gentleman for a bit of variety.
