The Tony-winning playwright, whose most recent play, Peter and Alice, is currently playing at London's Noel Coward Theatre, continued: "With Red I was interested in the passing of a generation and the relationship between fathers and sons. With Peter and Alice, the organising principle for me in a way was: what is it to grow up? What do you gain, what do you lose?
