The feud between the Hatfields and the McCoys has become a part of American folklore and myth. More than 100 years later, the story of the feud has become a modern symbol of the perils of family honor, justice, and vengeance. The Hatfield–McCoy feud occurred between 1863 and 1891 and involved two families, the Hatfields from West Virginia, and the McCoys of Kentucky. FEUD Part 1 explores the forbidden love story between Johnse Hatfield and Roseanna McCoy. Set in 1881 in Pike County, Kentucky, Johnse, Roseanna, and Paris McCoy have one fateful night to tell their stories. As the night progresses, truths are revealed, history is set in motion, and the legend begins.
