The Thirteen's 2025/26 season opens with performances titled On That Distant Day, taking place from October 17-19 in Alexandria, Washington, D.C., and Bethesda. The concerts will feature a poignant selection of works, including Duruflé's Requiem, Palestrina's Missa Papae Marcelli, and the North American premiere of Frank Martin's Cantate pour le 1er Août, among others. Artistic Director Matthew Robertson leads this exploration of remembrance and resilience, presenting music that reflects themes of triumph through adversity. Acclaimed organist Eric Plutz will join The Thirteen, enhancing the richness of this celebratory program.
