REP STAGE OFFERS FREE READING AND DISCUSSION OF PLAY

Murderers? Anti-war activists? Song and dance men? Join Rep Stage for a free play reading of Sacco and Vanzetti: A Vaudeville by Louis Lippa on Monday, October 16th at 7 p.m. in the Monteabaro Recital Hall at Howard Community College. The reading stars Bruce Nelson and Michael Stebbins and is directed by Rep Stage resident dramaturge, Lisa A. Wilde. A post-play discussion follows the reading. According to Rep Stage, Sacco and Vanzetti: A Vaudeville is described as, "Two hours before their execution, Sacco and Vanzetti, two immigrant Italian anarchists, present to the public their vaudeville version of events that led to their arrest, trial, and execution for crimes of which they claim to be innocent." Go to www.repstage.org for more details.

NEW SERIES: BWW BALTIMORE READER OFFERS THEATRE GRAPHICS SERVICES

In what I hope will be a continuing series of Charm City Stage Door entries, I am providing information sent to me by local theatre artists and enthusiasts offering different theatre-related services to the community. If you would like to bee seen in this column, please contact me at jameshowardbww@yahoo.com.

Towson resident Josh Singer is an avid theatre fan, aspiring actor – he holds a BS in Theatre from Towson University, and is a computer graphics and website designer. Seems Mr. Singer decided to combine his love of theater and computer savvy into a useable service to local theatres of all sizes. Of this new venture, he says, "My goal is to create original and powerful iconographic imagery for individual productions. I don't want to simply regurgitate that which has already been seen for previous productions of the same show. That said, my hope is that what I create can be used for every purpose – posters, t-shirts, post cards, and the like."

Among the graphics services he can offer are: • Posters • Flyers • Audition announcements • Program design and layout • Original show logos • T-Shirt designs • CD/DVD packaging, including booklets, labels and j cards.  All of the above are digital and can be delivered via email, hard copy or CD. Hard copies would be color copy-ready. Production photos can be incorporated in any of the above. See examples below.

He also offers website design (though not website hosting), and was recently the designer for This Won't Take Long, an entry in this year's New York Fringe Festival. To see his work, go to www.thiswonttakelong.net.

Mr. Singer is offering introductory rates for BWW readers. All prices are dependent upon the level of work required, the individual theatre's resources and the scope of the intended audience. There are no set prices at this time, and terms are negotiable. For more information, further samples and prices, please contact Mr. Singer directly at toouptight4boxers@yahoo.com.
