The Improvised Shakespeare Company returns with a show that “channels Monty Python as often as the Bard” (Chicago Tribune). Based on an audience suggestion for a yet-to-be-written play, the group creates a fully improvised performance in great Shakespearean style. Each of the players has brushed up on his “thees” and “thous” to bring you an uncharted evening of off-the-cuff comedy. Creating the characters as you watch, the play is filled with power struggles, star-crossed lovers, sprites, kings, queens, princesses, sword-playing, rhyming couplets, asides, insults, persons in disguise, or anything else that we’ve come to expect from the pen of William Shakespeare.
