In the days following the addition of new shows to his My Violent Torpedo of Truth Tour, the number of tickets sold for the Charlie Sheen outing rose by over 164%, according to data from the TicketNetwork exchange.*
Only 27% of all tickets currently purchased were sold prior to the March 16 announcement that added five new dates to the twenty-show tour. The greatest number of tickets sold within that period was during the initial onsale on March 12, with subsequent days selling progressively fewer tickets.
However, the newly added dates generated a large spike in orders. The day following the news saw ticket sales rise by more than 242% over the previous day. Overall, more than 72% of all tickets currently sold were bought during the period from March 17 to the 22.
The Charlie Sheen tour will begin on April 2 in Detroit, MI. Among the selection of tickets is a VIP option that includes a meet-and-greet with the comedian. The average ticket price for all shows is $178.
