Based on the 1992 hit film starring Whoopi Goldberg, Sister Act follows aspiring disco diva Deloris Van Cartier, who is placed in witness protection at a convent after witnessing a crime committed by her gangster boyfriend. Disguised as Sister Mary Clarence, she takes over the struggling choir and transforms it into a regional sensation, helping her fellow sisters find their inner light while rediscovering her own strength. The production is directed and choreographed by Peter Jorgensen, with Sean Bayntun returning for his fourth season as Music Director. Sister Act runs at Malkin Bowl in Stanley Park as part of Theatre Under the Stars' 2026 season.

Young in 1968, Theatre Under The Stars was created to serve the Greater Houston community through producing timeless classics and creating/developing new and innovative musical theatre.
