An 1829 excursion to the Scottish island of Staffa, with its basalt sea cave known as Fingal's Cave, inspired an awestruck Felix Mendelssohn to compose the 'Hebrides Overture' which begins the program for this monumental final concert of the Civic Orchestra's 2025-2026 season. The Civic Orchestra of Victoria is a vibrant, community orchestra made up of passionate amateur and professional musicians from across the Greater Victoria region. They complete their 42nd season with a tremendous program entitled 'Monuments'.

Arrive early for Music Director, Grant Harville's free, pre-concert talk from 1:00-1:30pm and gain interesting insights into the works you are about to hear!

Concert begins at 2pm.
