Festival Place Presents Brent Parkin and Doug Andrew

As part of the Qualico Cafe Series, Festival Place presents Brent Parkin and Doug Andrew, October 12, 2018 and as part of the Presenter Series, The Once, October 25, 2018.

Brent Parkin and Doug Andrew were first teamed as members of the Come On In My Kitchen series and in short order the Winnipeg-based Parkin and the Vancouver-based Andrew became a mutual admiration society. Parkin loved the dark, image laden story songs that Andrew pens, while Andrew marveled at Parkin's brilliant guitar playing.

Parkin's masterful blues licks and fine singing combined with Andrew's steely, vintage Americana feel, covers a wide swath of roots music territory.

JUNO Nominated The Once returns to Festival Place, with a new album, Time Enough. The Once offer haunting interpretations of traditional east coast music and uncovering a sound that truly represents their inner artistry.

Festival Place continues to be Alberta's #1 Presenter of Professional Artists. The 2017/2018 season showcased an eclectic mix of over 80 incredibly talented performers. The 2018/2019 season carries on the same ambitious standard of entertainment, with over 50 performances already scheduled between September 2018 and April 2019, with new shows added throughout the year.
