Tommy Steele to Reprise West End Role in UK SCROOGE Tour, Begin. 23 Oct. at New Wimbledon Theatre
Direct from its West End run at the London Palladium last Christmas, Tommy Steele will reprise his role as Ebenezer Scrooge in Bill Kenwright's spectacular production of festive musical SCROOGE. Tommy Steele's return to the London Palladium in Scrooge the Musical last year sent him into the record books once again as the star to have headlined more performances than any other at London's most famous theatre. A prestigious plaque was mounted at the Palladium to honour this extraordinary achievement.
The UK tour opens at NEW WIMBLEDON THEATRE on WEDNESDAY 23 OCTOBER.
Tommy's legendary career also includes over twenty hit singles, Hollywood movie hits such as The Happiest Millionaire and Finian's Rainbow, and countless award winning stage musicals such as Half a Sixpence, Hans Andersen and Singin' in the Rain.
Based on Charles Dickens' heartwarming story A Christmas Carol, Scrooge The Musical is the perfect heart-warming family treat: with stunning sets and costumes, specially created illusions by magician Paul Kieve (acclaimed for the magic effects in the Harry Potter films) and a fantastic musical score which features Leslie Bricusse's Oscar nominated hit Thank You Very Much.
