Where do you go in your dreams? Scottish Dance Theatre's (SDT) new work for children What on Earth!? Takes you on a nocturnal journey around planet earth, to places only your dreams can take you. The show premieres at Dundee Rep Theatre on 11 & 12 April as part of Dundee Rep's Children's Festival, before going on tour.

Aimed at children aged 5 – 11 but suitable for the whole family, What on Earth!? is "loaded with generous helpings of music, dance and animated worlds. SDT will take you into a world of dreams about planet earth, where friendships are made and battles are won and lost.

"Featuring SDT's trademark style and physicality and a soundtrack by diverse artists such as The Beatles, Bob Marley, Yann Tiersen and Handel, What on Earth!? will also be a treat for dance lovers without children."

SDT will also run a series of children's dance workshops for children aged 5-11 linked to the performances, giving children a chance to learn some new dance moves and make up their own, and also giving them an exclusive introduction to the show. To find out more visit www.scottishdancetheatre.com

Choreographed by Janet Smith and Sally Owen, What on Earth!? will be the final piece choreographed for SDT by former Artistic Director Janet Smith who left in February to take up the post of Principal of the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds.

SDT has collaborated with local artists: Animator Graeme Hawkins (Retchy.com), Designer Becky Minto and Lighting Designer Emma Jones to bring alive, a colourful and playful nocturnal world full of surprise encounters with strange flora and fauna.
