The Pleasance Theatre Islington has been one of the most exciting Fringe theatres in London since it opened in 1995, they are now excited to present their Autumn show listing.

Adam Kay and Enemies

Amateur Transplants frontman Adam Kay is delighted to bring his brand new monthly residency to The Pleasance. Alongside his uniquely depraved pop music re-imaginings, Adam is joined on stage by special guests he doesn't particularly get on with, but are funnier than him. He'll probably do the London Underground Song.

Fascinating Aida - Brand New Show Previews

Prior to their national tour, Fascinating Aida will be giving three, exclusive, preview performances of their BRAND NEW SHOW: Charm Offensive.

Following a sold-out 2012 tour, three Olivier Award nominations and over 10 million YouTube hits for Cheap Flights (their infamous anthem to budget air travel), Dillie Keane, Adele Anderson and Liza Pulman celebrate 30 years of Fascinating Aïda with a brand new show.

Expect topical new songs hot off the press, plus some outrageous old favourites, as Fascinating Aïda continue to grow old disgracefully!

David Elms and Adam Hess

Adam Hess (Chortle Best Newcomer nominee 2013, Chortle Student Champion 2011) provides the energetic one-liners and stories that he has become known for on the circuit. Musical comedian David Elms (Chortle finalist 2012) balances out the hour with calm, intelligent whimsy (as seen on BBC 3).

North North North

In 1897 three Swedish adventurers headed for the North Pole in a hydrogen filled balloon. Their aim was to explore new lands, to map the undiscovered Arctic and to plant the flag of Sweden at the pole. At 2:30pm on the 11th July they cut the anchor lines and floated up into the cold arctic air. They were never seen alive again...

Using an international cast, storytelling, physical theatre and live music, award winning New International Encounter invite you to join them for an exhilarating journey into one of the worlds last great wilderness areas. A journey full of hope and daring do, of frostbite and patriotic songs. A dream and a nightmare of the great white north.

Suspense Festival - The Puppet Monologues - Work in Progress

How did a puppet scientist become a celebrity with his own catch-phrase? What was the role of puppets in the banking crisis? How are puppets helping to solve global warming? Blind Summit are currently spending time with their puppet characters listening to their memoirs.

Featuring their trademark "extreme puppetry", Blind Summit will perform the first of the monologues from a collection currently in development.

Sylvie Dee - eco-activist, self-appointed orphan and party planner for the entire estate - has disappeared. Completely.

Will you help us find her? Blue is an interactive mystery, combining lyrical new writing, vivid contemporary puppetry and beautiful original music in an evocative new tale of the green in our roots and the blue in our hearts. This is a promenade piece with only 20 audience members per performance.

Everyday tasks - the washing, cooking, cleaning and laundry, take on epic proportions as puppeteer Isobel Smith struggles to ritualise and subvert their readings - liberating them from their hum-drum existence in the spirit of 'El duende' evoking something powerful and extraordinary in the process.

A performance that turns everyday mundane tasks into an extraordinary, visual theatrical adventure using object manipulation, puppetry, lighting and shadow.

Albert Grimlake sits in his cobwebbed shop surrounded by his puppets, each face lovingly crafted by his own hand.

But Grimlake is growing old. Time is running out to find a successor, someone to breathe life into his creations, someone who shares his peculiar passion for puppets... Enter Eric: The Perfect Applicant. He's young, loves The Muppets and is eager to learn.

In a bizarre and grim future, a host of extraordinary characters come to the aid of an artist who has lost his way.

Bastard! is inspired by French writer Boris Vian's satire, L'arrache-coeur. Like Vian, who invented new words to describe wild adventures, Duda Paiva expands his trademark theatre language of animated movement, with objects, the body and new media in this multi-award winning show. In the past years, DudaPaiva Company has performed across the world, developing into a unique, international company that interprets the lively crossover of dance and objects in a new and original form of contemporary dance theatre.

The inept and accident prone Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society set out to present J.M. Barrie's classic tale of Peter Pan. Two acts of hysterical disaster ensue. Don't miss this hilarious new comedy from the creators of West End smash hit comedy The Play that Goes Wrong. To die will be an awfully big adventure.
