Rodgers and Hammerstein's classic feel-good musical Oklahoma! comes to the Lyceum stage from Tuesday 21 July - Saturday 1 August, starring television and stage stars Belinda Lang and Gary Wilmot.

Celebrating the vigour of America's pioneering spirit with classic tunes and foot stomping dances, Oklahoma! tells the story of two sets of star-crossed lovers. Cowboy Curly loves Laurey, Aunt Eller's niece and the girl of his dreams but Curly's rival is the mysterious and dangerous hired hand Jud Fry. Meanwhile, Ado Annie is torn between cowboy Will and peddler Ali Hakim.

Belinda Lang, best known for her role as Bill Porter in the BBC comedy 2point4 Children, plays fun-loving Aunt Eller with musicals legend Gary Wilmot (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Pajama Game, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang) as travelling salesman Ali Hakim.

From the award-winning producers of The King & I and Fiddler on the Roof, this new, colourful production overflows with some of the best loved songs in musical theatre including Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin', I Cain't Say No, The Surrey With the Fringe on Top, Kansas City, People Will Say We're in Love and the rousing title song, Oklahoma!

Oklahoma! is at the Lyceum Theatre from Tuesday 21 July - Saturday 1 August. Oklahoma! with music by Richard Rodgers and book and lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, is based on the Lynn Riggs play Green Grow the Lilacs and was the first musical written by the duo. It was originally produced on Broadway in 1943 and the Academy Award-winning film was released in 1955.

Music & Lyrics Limited is an award-winning nationwide consortium comprised of the UK's major independent touring theatres. It aims to champion music theatre in all its forms and provide extended life to productions created by the UK's major producing theatres. Music & Lyrics won The Renee Stepham Award for Best Presentation of Touring Theatre at the UK Theatre Awards 2012.

Music & Lyrics was founded in 2011 and its inaugural production was a revival of Curve Leicester's celebrated production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's The King and I, which was nominated for Best Touring Production in the UK Theatre Awards 2012. . This was followed by a tour of High Society in 2012. The 2013/14 tour of Fiddler on the Roof starring Paul Michael Glaser and directed and choreographed by Craig Revel Horwood was nominated for three awards in the Manchester Theatre Awards including Best Musical, and won Emily O'Keefe the BroadwayWorld.com UK Award for Best Featured Actress in a New Production of a Musical for her role as Tzeitel. Between them, these three tours played over 500 performances, were seen by almost half a million people, and grossed £12million at the box office.
