Nina Conti's DOLLY MIXTURES Plays Edinburgh Fringe, Now thru Aug 27
Mick Perrin for JFLL presents Nina Conti in DOLLY MIXTURES at Pleasance Dome, Potterow, 1 Bristo Square, Edinburgh EH8 9AL from tonight, 1st through 27th August at 8.30pm, as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Groundbreaking ventriloquist Nina Conti returns to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival following a two year break, during which time she has been busy film-making. A Ventriloquist's Story - Her Master’s Voice (winner of the audience award at the 2012 SXSW festival in Austin, Texas) and Make Me Happy: A Monkey’s Search for Happiness will be broadcast on BBC4 in June.
Conti’s new live show will be at the Pleasance Dome, tonight, 1st through 27th August. She introduces her daughter, her handyman, her local laundry proprietor, her oldest friend and a stray dog in a show that refuses to go as rehearsed. Expect a thoughtful mediation on love, life and The Edge of existence. And once you've bought your ticket, let that expectation go.
