Museum of Comedy Presents the Work of Steve Ullathorne, 6/17
"THE ANNIE LEIBOWITZ OF COMEDY"- The Scotsman
The Museum of Comedy are proud to announce an exhibition of the work of Photographer Steve Ullathorne, one of the UK's finest and best known photographers of Comedy performers.
Steve's portraits of comedians, both in the studio and in performance, appear regularly in National and International publications ranging from The Times to Hello Magazine, as well as on over 350 different posters for National Tours, The Edinburgh Festival and West End runs. He has had 8 consecutive exhibitions as part of the Edinburgh Festival at the Gilded Balloon (with another opening in late July as part of the 2014 Festival), 3 exhibitions at the Eden Court Theatre in Inverness plus other solo exhibitions at Swindon Arts Centre and The Rag Factory in Brick Lane. His work has also been shown as part of group exhibitions at The Candid Gallery, the London Transport Museum and most recently as a commended photographer in the World Photography Awards at Somerset House.

His book and exhibition of photoshopped pictures of London's Blue Plaque houses, Restyles of the Dead and Famous has resulted in over 30,000 shares on facebook and twitter of his image of George Orwell's house with a CCTV camera outside it - it still regularly shows up uncredited online as a real untouched photo - much to the annoyance of the tourists who make a trip to Portobello Road to see the house and take their own picture...
