Children's Laureate Julia Donaldson and Richmond resident Axel Scheffler's Tiddler & Other Terrific Tales comes to Rose Theatre Kingston on Sat 16 & Sun 17 June.

Featuring Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler'sbest loved titles, 'Tiddler', 'Monkey Puzzle', 'The Smartest Giant in Town' and 'A Squash and a Squeeze'.

Co-produced by Scamp Theatre, the creators of the stage version of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's Stick Man, the award-winning Sticks Stones BroKen Bones and Private Peaceful.

Julia Donaldson said "It's the first time a professional theatre company has based a play on a number of my books. It was after seeing Scamp's production of Michael Morpurgo's 'Aesop's Fables' that I was so keen for Scamp to use a similar format for my books with Axel Scheffler, so I'm delighted that it's happened."

Puppets magically come alive on stage to help Joseph Carey, Peta Dennis and Mathew Hamper become every character in these well loved stories. Under the sea, out on The Farm and into the jungle, these terrific tales are woven together with live music and a whole host of colourful characters.

Peta Dennis has recently been in the sell out seasons of Stick Man - Live on Stage at the Edinburgh Festival and around the world. Saxophonist and performer Joseph Carey has worked at The National Theatre, the David Glass Ensemble and with the Slava Theatre Sweden and Matthew Hamper has just finished a UK tour of Michael Morpurgo's 'Friend or Foe' for Scamp Theatre.
